A free React dashboard template with no chart library to fight

Auth shell, sortable tables and hand-drawn SVG charts in a colour-blind-safe palette — with zero chart-library lock-in.

Every React dashboard template makes the same bet: bundle a charting library, a component kit and a state manager, and hope you wanted those exact choices. Pulse bets the other way. The charts are plain SVG components — you can open them, read them, and change them like any other React code — so there is no library version to be stuck on and nothing extra in the bundle.

The details that usually get skipped are done: the palette was actually validated for colour-vision deficiency and contrast in both themes, tables behave at real data density, and an auth shell is laid out so your product screens have somewhere to live on day one.

Pulse is the most engineering-heavy of our six free templates, and it is still MIT licensed end to end — use it as the front of a SaaS product, an internal tool or a client admin panel.

What’s inside

Charts without a chart library

Line, bar and donut charts drawn as plain SVG components you can read and restyle — no wrestling with a charting API or shipping 100 KB of library.

Colour-blind-safe palette

The chart colours were validated for colour-vision deficiency and contrast in both light and dark mode, not eyeballed.

Auth shell included

Login screen and authenticated layout are laid out and styled — wire them to whatever auth provider your product uses.

Sortable data tables

Tables with sorting and states handled, styled to stay readable at real data density.

Light and dark mode

Class-strategy theming across every screen, including the charts.

Single config file

Product name, nav and settings live in config/site.ts — rebrand the whole shell in one edit.

Get it running

Four commands from clone to a production build. The build outputs static files — host them anywhere, free.

git clone https://github.com/haider484991/pulse-nextjs-dashboard-template.git
cd pulse-nextjs-dashboard-template
npm install
npm run dev # develop at localhost:3000
npm run build # static site in out/ — deploy to any static host

Questions

Which chart library does Pulse use?

None — that is the point. Charts are hand-written SVG React components included in the template. You restyle them by editing the component, and you never inherit a charting library’s bundle size or breaking changes.

Does it come with authentication?

It ships the auth shell — a styled login screen and authenticated layout — without prescribing a provider. Wire it to NextAuth, Clerk, Supabase or your own API; nothing in the template assumes one choice.

Is it free for commercial products?

Yes. Pulse is MIT licensed: use it in a commercial SaaS, an internal tool or client work. Keep the license text in the source and you owe nothing.

Can you build our actual dashboard on it?

That is a large part of what we do — React and Next.js product development. We can take Pulse from shell to working product against your API. Get in touch with what you’re building.
