Web Application Security Audits That Come With the Fixes
Most breaches of small web apps are not clever. One user reads another user's records by changing an ID in a URL, an admin page is reachable by anyone, a secret key sits in the front-end code, or a database rule was never switched on.
Our security audits test for exactly those. We review your application the way an attacker would — signed in as a normal user, then as nobody at all — and the way a developer would, by reading the code and configuration. You get every finding ranked by real risk, with steps to reproduce it and the fix.
This is for you if
- ✓You are about to launch, raise money or sign an enterprise customer who will ask about security
- ✓Your app was built fast — by a small team, an agency or an AI tool — and nobody has checked it
- ✓You use Supabase or Firebase and are not sure your row-level security or rules really hold
- ✓A customer's security questionnaire asks about testing and you have nothing to point to
This is probably not for you if
- ✕A contract requires a certified penetration test, a SOC 2 audit or a PCI assessment — that has to come from an accredited firm, and we will tell you what to ask them for
We would rather tell you now than take the project and disappoint you.
Worth knowing: Automated scanners find the easy things: missing headers, old libraries, open ports. They rarely find broken access control, which has topped the OWASP Top 10 since 2021, because a scanner cannot tell that the invoice it just loaded belonged to someone else. That takes a person who understands what your app is supposed to allow.
What you get
Access control testing
Every role and every kind of record checked: can a user read, change or delete what is not theirs by changing an ID, a parameter or a request?
Logins and sessions
Sign-up, login, password reset, magic links, OAuth and session handling tested for account takeover and bypass.
Data exposure
APIs returning more than the screen shows, secrets in front-end bundles, and storage buckets anyone can read.
Database rules
Supabase row-level security, Firebase rules and API permissions tested as a stranger, not just read.
Configuration and dependencies
Security headers, CORS, cookies, TLS, packages with known vulnerabilities, and server-side request forgery.
Report and retest
Findings ranked by real-world risk, with reproduction steps and fixes, and a retest once you have fixed them.
What this is, and what it is not
This is a developer-led security review and web application security test, built around the OWASP Top 10 and the OWASP Application Security Verification Standard. It is what most startups and small businesses need before a launch or a customer review.
It is not a certified penetration test, a SOC 2 audit or a PCI assessment. If a contract requires one of those, it has to come from an accredited firm. Fixing what we find first usually makes that formal test shorter and cheaper.
Rules of engagement
- We only test systems you own or have written permission to test, under a signed scope.
- Production testing is agreed in advance and kept non-destructive; we prefer a staging copy.
- Findings are shared only with you, and test accounts and data are removed afterwards.
- Anything critical is reported the same day, not saved for the final report.
How we test
Hands-on testing and code review. Scanners support the work; they do not replace it.
Method
Manual testing and code review against the OWASP Top 10 and ASVS
Tools
Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, browser developer tools, custom scripts
Code checks
Dependency audits, secret scanning, static analysis
Platforms
Next.js, React, Node.js, Supabase, Firebase, WordPress, Cloudflare
Not sure whether a security audit is what you actually need? Send over what you are trying to fix and we will tell you straight — including if a smaller job would do it.

Scope and permission
What is in scope, which environments and roles, and written authorization to test.
Test and review
Hands-on testing and code review, with critical issues reported as soon as they are found.
Report
Each finding with its risk, how to reproduce it and how to fix it, in plain language and in code.
Fix and retest
Your team fixes the issues, or we do, and we retest to confirm each one is closed.
Work you can check
Real work that uses the same skills. Every card links to something you can open and inspect yourself.
Free SEO checker
Fetches any public URL you give it, and refuses private and internal addresses so it cannot be used to reach inside the network.
AI in productionOur site assistant
Answers from a facts file so it quotes published prices instead of inventing them. The model is fixed on the server and requests are capped, because each one costs money.
Questions
How much does a security audit cost?
A focused audit of a web app or API starts at $2,500, and most land between $2,500 and $8,000 depending on the number of roles, features and integrations. Certified penetration tests from accredited firms usually cost more; this review is designed to find and fix the common problems first.
How is this different from a penetration test?
The testing techniques overlap heavily. The difference is the certification: a formal penetration test comes from an accredited firm, with a report built for auditors and contracts. Ours is built for engineers, includes the fixes, and does not carry that certification.
Do you test Supabase and Firebase apps?
Yes, and they are worth testing. Both expose the database to the browser by design, so security depends entirely on row-level security policies or security rules. We test them as a signed-out stranger and as another signed-in user, which is how real leaks are found.
Will testing break our site?
It should not. We agree the scope in advance, prefer a staging environment, avoid destructive tests on production, and never run load or denial-of-service tests.
What do we get at the end?
A written report with each finding, its severity, how to reproduce it and how to fix it, a summary you can share with customers, and a retest after your fixes.
