Pixel & Oak Studio ("we", "us") builds websites and AI automation for businesses. This page explains what personal information pixelandoak.com collects, why, and what we do with it. It is written to describe our actual practice rather than to cover every hypothetical.
Information you give us
Our contact and quote forms ask for your name and email address, and optionally your company, the service you are interested in, a budget range, and your message. Only name and email are required. We do not ask for payment details, government identifiers, or any special category data through this site.
If you use one of our free tools, such as the site speed test or SEO checker, the website address you enter is sent to Google's PageSpeed Insights API to produce the result. If you try one of our AI demo assistants, the messages you type are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. Please do not enter confidential information into a public demo.
Information collected automatically
This site does not use analytics software, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell personal information. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard server request data such as IP address and user agent for security, abuse prevention, and delivering the site. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when a page loads.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare the free homepage mockup or quote you asked for.
- To send a short series of follow-up emails about our work after you contact us. You can stop these at any time using the unsubscribe link in every message, and we honour that permanently.
- To keep records of business enquiries and to protect the site from spam and abuse.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who processes it
We keep the number of parties involved deliberately small. Your enquiry is stored by Cloudflare (hosting and data storage) and delivered by Resend (email sending). Both act on our instructions as service providers. Google receives the data described above where its PageSpeed, Fonts, or AI services are involved.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as we may reasonably need them for the business relationship and our records, and delete them on request. Unsubscribe records are kept indefinitely for the specific purpose of making sure we do not email you again.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for follow-up emails. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, such as the UK, the European Economic Area, or California, you may have additional statutory rights, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This is a business-to-business site and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
