SaaS Development for Founders Who Need It Working, Not Perfect

Most SaaS projects fail on the boring parts. Not the clever feature you are excited about — the account system, the billing edge cases, the permission model, the thing that breaks when two people edit at once. Those consume the budget and they are what we make sure works.

We build in phases with a fixed price on each, so you can stop after any of them with something that runs. The first phase is deliberately the smallest thing that a real customer could pay for.

This is for you if

  • You have an idea validated by real conversations and need it built
  • You have a prototype that cannot survive real users
  • You need auth, billing, and a dashboard — the unglamorous foundation
  • A previous developer left you with something half-finished

This is probably not for you if

  • You have not yet spoken to anyone who would pay for it — build the landing page first and find out
  • You want equity-only. We build for a fee.

We would rather tell you now than take the project and disappoint you.

Worth knowing: The most expensive decision in a SaaS build is starting with too much. Every feature added before the first paying customer is a feature you may be maintaining for nothing. A narrow first version that ships is worth more than a complete one that is still three months away.

What you get

Authentication done properly

Sign-up, sign-in, password reset, sessions, and roles. Using an established provider rather than hand-rolled auth, because this is a bad place to be inventive.

Stripe billing

Subscriptions, trials, upgrades, downgrades, failed payments, and the webhooks that keep your database honest about who is actually paying.

A dashboard people can use

The screens your customers live in, designed for the job rather than decorated.

An architecture that scales sensibly

Sane database design and no decisions that trap you at a thousand users. Not over-engineered for scale you do not yet have.

Admin tooling

You will need to look things up, refund someone, and fix a broken account. Building that later always costs more.

Handover that works

Documented, in your repository and your accounts, so another developer can pick it up without archaeology.

What we build it with

Deliberately mainstream choices. You should be able to hand this to any competent developer later without them needing to learn something exotic first.

Industries we build for

We work with any business that wins work on trust. These are the ones we have written about at length.

Not sure whether saas development company is what you actually need? Send over what you are trying to fix and we will tell you straight — including if a smaller job would do it.

How it works

1

Scoping call

We work out the smallest version someone would pay for. Often smaller than expected.

2

Phase quote

Fixed price for phase one. You see the whole roadmap but only commit to the next step.

3

Build in the open

Staging from week one, weekly written updates, and you use it as it grows.

4

Launch, then iterate

Ship to real users, watch what they actually do, and let that decide phase two.

Recent work

Real sites, not mockups. Every one is live and you can go and look at it.

Questions

How much does it cost to build a SaaS product?

A focused first version typically runs $12,000–$35,000. The range is wide because "SaaS" covers everything from a single-purpose tool to a multi-tenant platform. We quote per phase, so you are never committing the whole budget on day one.

Can you build an MVP quickly?

Yes, and quickly usually means narrowly. The fastest route is one workflow done properly rather than five done partly. A tight first version is normally 8–12 weeks.

What stack do you use?

Next.js and TypeScript, Postgres, and an established auth provider, deployed on Vercel or Cloudflare. Deliberately boring choices — you should be able to hire someone else who knows them.

Do you take equity instead of payment?

No. We build for a fee, which keeps the relationship straightforward and means we are not steering your product toward our own upside.

Can you take over an unfinished project?

Often, yes. We start with a short paid audit and tell you honestly whether continuing or restarting is cheaper — sometimes the honest answer is restart, and you deserve to hear that before spending more.
