The challenge
Dog owners who suspect their pet ate something dangerous need a fast, clear answer, not a wall of forum posts or a wait on hold with a vet line. Most existing pet poison resources are either incomplete, hard to search, or bury the actual answer under general advice.
What we built
We built a searchable database of foods, plants, and household items with clear toxicity verdicts, symptoms, and recommended action for each entry. A dedicated chocolate toxicity calculator handles the most common emergency search with a straightforward input-and-answer flow. The site is built on Next.js and deployed on Vercel as a fast, server-rendered app, structured so individual item pages can be found directly through search.
